Fun Fact About Me: One fun fact about myself is that I am working on making it to medical school but my goal is to become certified in many small healthcare programs to thoroughly prepare myself. I am already trained in phlebotomy.

About Me

My name is Makayla Betancourt and I am an undergraduate student at DePaul University. In my studies I aim to focus on disparities in the health care community that impact women and POC communities. I currently serve as a Secretary on an executive board in my university and carry with me all of the experience and excitement that serving as a board member brings.

With Utopia Connect Foundation I hope to work in order to address my issues of focus and create a legitimate foundation that can carry all community members in need, especially when addressing healthcare issues and needs.
